Hyper-Pro Fork Springs
The OE front forks of the FJR1300 are fine for normal road use but those who tour heavily laidened or ride fast soon find they are soft and dive under braking. These replacement performance progressive front fork springs are the solution. The company offer quality progressively wound fitment and they have done their homework on set-up and list recommended preload/compression /rebound settings that in my opinion are spot on. Running these springs the FJR is less vague on certain corners than it used to be with the o/e set-up and the fork action is certainly more firmer and controlled. Dive when braking is also reduced. Obviously Hyperpro recommend you fit these with their rear spring conversion/rear shock absorbers but if you are happy with the standard front forks it is not a necessity to change them. The kit contains springs, oil and detailed instructions* for fitting plus suggested set-up adjustments, but a Yamaha workshop manual is recommended as Hyperpros’ instructions are not specific to the FJR.
PLEASE USE HYPERPRO'S OIL QUANTITIES AND LEVELS WHEN FITTING*.
